SponsorshipChild Sponsors Child Sponsors are the backbone of Mookie's Place Just $40 a month ($480/year) provides a Lancaster child with a year of engaging and educational programming within a neighborhood-based AfterSchool Program and Summer Camp.
Your sponsorships allow children to participate in activities that improve their academic performance, teach necessary life skills, establish positive relationships with caring adults, explore the arts, and nurture their faith.
Teen Leader Sponsors Through an innovative, hands-on approach to job training, Mookie's Place’s Teen Leader Program offers employment to around 25 Lancaster teens throughout the year as counselors, tutors, and mentors for the children who attend our AfterSchool Programs and Summer Camps.
The heart of the Teen Leader Program is challenging teens to use their influence to make positive changes in the lives of the children in our programs, in their own lives, and throughout their communities.
In addition to preparing Teen Leaders for the professional world, Mookie's Place also provides extensive job training, tutoring, college preparation, and mentoring to help Teen Leaders succeed in and outside of the program.
As a Teen Leader Sponsor, your monthly gift of $100 ($1,200/year) enables Mookie's Place to provide Teen Leaders with competitive hourly pay, subject and ACT tutoring, Bible study, and job training every week. By becoming a Teen Sponsor, you will receive at least two Teen Leader correspondences, updates about the camp where your teen works, and the opportunity to visit your teen’s camp site.
You can donate here!Mookie Place is a 501(3) c nonprofit organization that was establish to help and support the families in the Lancaster community. We wanted to be able to provide afterschool services to families who can't afford after school care. Today Learning and Day Care Centers are so expensive they put even more hardship on families. This causes non-productive situations for the children at home.
We developed a program that not only improves the lifestyle of the children in Lancaster but gives overall family support with our wrap around services. Mookie's Place Inc., believes that together if we can change our children's minds on how life has to be then we can change their lives. We must keep our kids busy, entertained, educated and challenged. Our program foucuses on support for our children of the future and and their families.
We provide the children of today with the necessary tools to become great leaders of the future by teaching them the life skills, social, communication and behavior skills needed to achieve these goals. There is a saying that it takes a village to raise a child, today it takes a community to raise a child and instill in them the positive thinking and an environment to learn how to.
With the help of our donors we've been able to give the children of Mookie's Place Inc., those opportunities. We are committed to empowering today’s youth to be the leaders of tomorrow - and couldn’t have gotten this far without your generous contributions. Donate today, and make the biggest impact on the lives of our community’s youth.
